Alternative singer songwriter Lou Oma’s music is earnest. It fits elements of folk, electronic, indie and experimental music like mosaics into songs that are simultaneously visceral and analytical,  that highlight the conflict between well thought out explanation and deepest instinct. On a bed of textured guitar and synth instrumentals, her voice shines through, ruminating and hypothesizing about what it is to be human. Inspired by acts like Adrianne Lenker, Bjork, Arthur Russell, Thom Yorke, and Broadcast, she has developed from rambling guitar compositions to experimenting with alien tones and electronic sounds. Currently in the process of recording her debut album, which consists of songs written over the course of her first three years of college, she is crafting a work that is filled with challenge and hurt, but also fantasy, wonder and the joy in new and ever changing experiences.
